On February 5, legendary editor-in-chief of Vogue Dame Anna Wintour reaffirmed her dedication to her work as she accepted a prestigious honor at Buckingham Palace. The 75-year-old fashion icon, known for her trademark sunglasses, removed them during the ceremony where she was made a Companion of Honour by King Charles III.Wintour, who has helmed American Vogue since 1988, expressed her gratitude and determination, stating, "It makes me even more convinced that I have so much more to achieve." The 61-year-old, who received her damehood for her contributions to art, is known for her provocative works addressing women’s issue and personal trauma, including "My Bed," which was shortlisted for the Turner Prize in 1999.&nbsp;

This model-cum-emcee takes on a new role completely away from the spotlight: a professional organizer.&nbsp;Joyce Yeung remembers the shocking question her client had asked at her first job as a professional organizer: “Garbage is something you need to throw away?” Within the 70sqft bedroom, mounds of clothes, stuffed toys, crinkled shoe boxes and bulging plastic bags camouflaged the floor. No bed was in sight.&nbsp;After two days of disposing, decluttering and reorganizing, the playthings found their new home in a drawer, winter coats were draped over hangers, and the floor was revealed – it was mahogany brown. Not only did the client finally understand where garbage should go, her parents – who share the same roof and similar messes – also attempted to correct their bad habits after Joyce’s cleanup mission.&nbsp;Having graduated from the Japan Shuno Licensing Association in December 2023, Joyce wears many hats – model, emcee, event host, and for the first time away from the spotlight, a professional organizer. She says every organizational case is a unique challenge on its own: a key one is discarding sentimental keepsakes.&nbsp;Joyce claims coercion is not her style, as this might cause extreme overreactions – for instance, revenge shopping. Instead, she guides through questions and suggestions, say reducing two of five similar-looking stuffed toys or memorializing the objects through digital photographs to save space.&nbsp;<figure class="image"><img src="https://prd-cdn.jessicahk.com/Whats_App_Image_2025_01_09_at_22_05_57_1_1849635e32.jpeg" alt="WhatsApp Image 2025-01-09 at 22.05.57 (1).jpeg"><figcaption>Photo courtesy of Joyce Yeung</figcaption></figure>Once the disposing is completed, Joyce carves out a “golden zone” – or the most frequented space – for daily necessities and rearranges the remaining belongings according to the client’s movements around the room. Admittedly, she says professional organization is rarely a one-off service as old habits are hard to nip in the bud. She’s even taken up clients who ring her up every season to conduct a thorough wardrobe switch.&nbsp;<blockquote>“Most often than not, people who call on professional organizers already have a voice in their head telling them that something’s not right. They just need someone to lead them in the right direction,” she says.&nbsp;</blockquote>Joyce laments that embarrassment and guilt are often the biggest deterrents to seeking help.&nbsp;“I once bought 28 pieces of clothing all in one go: that was the wake-up call I needed. Having clutter is not something to be shameful about, especially in land-strapped Hong Kong. We all want a comfortable living space; be proud that you’ve addressed the problem and are taking an active step to finding a solution.”&nbsp;Sharing the Spotlight&nbsp; Measuring 175cm-tall with an education in the entertainment industry, Joyce dabbled in journalism for a year before signing with modelling agency, Primo, in 2015. Her face has graced commercials and advertisements for Adidas, Ocean Park Hong Kong, Philips, MTR Hong Kong and more – each a boost in her fake-it-till-you-make-it confidence.&nbsp;“When I took my first modelling job for Philips, I thought I only had to show my face, do a few shots; but it turned out to be a scripted monologue with interview segments. The pressure is real when my subpar performance can hinder the whole team.” Joyce said. “Even after being in the spotlight for a decade, my hands still quiver before going up on stage, but I’ve learned to stifle the fear because I only get one shot in getting the job done right.”&nbsp;<figure class="image"><img src="https://prd-cdn.jessicahk.com/Whats_App_Image_2025_01_10_at_10_20_24_11239d4222.jpeg" alt="WhatsApp Image 2025-01-10 at 10.20.24.jpeg"><figcaption>Photo courtesy of Joyce Yeung</figcaption></figure>In the early 2020s, she was recruited as an event host for glowing labels like Sino Group, Cartier, Longines, Tiffany &amp; Co. and Shiseido, where her newfound fluency in introducing jewelry lines and product features sparked the idea of adding another skill to her already illustrious resume: emceeing.&nbsp;Upon graduation from the Hong Kong M.C. Association Limited, COVID-19 hit – a time when banquets and large gatherings saw draconian restrictions or were outright banned. Yet, her initial fruitless years as an emcee were soon rewarded with an abundance of jobs when a wedding frenzy hit Hong Kong after social-distancing restrictions were lifted. Though she was still inexperienced, the influx of wedding receptions meant the Association was quick to hand her solo jobs based on her entertainment-cum-modelling background.&nbsp;<figure class="image"><img src="https://prd-cdn.jessicahk.com/Whats_App_Image_2025_01_10_at_10_20_25_1_784a2f02fc.jpeg" alt="WhatsApp Image 2025-01-10 at 10.20.25 (1).jpeg"><figcaption>Photo courtesy of Joyce Yeung</figcaption></figure>But unlike a model, an emcee is a support role away from the limelight – something her mentors had warned would be a challenge given her outstanding looks and height.&nbsp;“A mentor outright told me I shouldn’t even touch wedding emcee jobs because I’d outshine the couple,” Joyce said. Till this day, she’d dwarf her looks by wearing flats and earth tones. “I was worried, of course, but my face and height are not something I can change.”The turning point, however, was her first job. A couple had requested a male emcee through the Association: no one was available, so Joyce was assigned, much to the newlyweds’ dismay. Yet to her surprise, her professionalism was met with praise from the bride and even referrals from the groom.&nbsp; “The double approval caused quite the commotion amongst my mentors; I guess that was when I really started to believe that emceeing could be my next calling.”&nbsp;<figure class="image"><img src="https://prd-cdn.jessicahk.com/Whats_App_Image_2025_01_10_at_10_20_26_1_11a5025775.jpeg" alt="WhatsApp Image 2025-01-10 at 10.20.26 (1).jpeg"><figcaption>Photo courtesy of Joyce Yeung</figcaption></figure>Since then, she’s handled weddings with only three days’ notice; a guest list that ballooned almost two-fold; venues with light, sound and stage malfunctions; and even a mother-in-law that threatened to walk away at the sight of her estranged husband at the start of the reception.&nbsp;Though Joyce’s latest pursuit as a professional organizer is seemingly a 180-degree turn away from her familiar spotlight, she claims her goal has never changed: to bring joy, whether in a shoot, to blushing newlyweds or to people in need of a little help with tidying. In weddings, I am just the support act, so I know to tone down my overall presence – that’s normal. As an organizer, I can retreat even further from the spotlight – these roles can all coexist if the end goal is to experience their happiness.”&nbsp;Tidying Tips Joyce shares three pointers for tidying.&nbsp;<ol><li>Don’t overdo it: discard your items in small batches to prevent negative overreactions.&nbsp;</li><li>Assess your wardrobe regularly or when you make purchases by asking yourself questions such as, “will this item be important or in vogue a decade from now?” and “what’s its connection to you?”&nbsp;</li><li>There’s nothing shameful about clutter. Professional Picker-Upper: Joyce Yeung

Once the general manager of Asset Management at LINK REIT, Jenny Wan left her 22-year corporate life to invest in her lifelong passion of wellness and sports. Not just any sport, but one that even Taylor Swift plays: pickleball. &nbsp;&nbsp;<figure class="image"><img src="https://prd-cdn.jessicahk.com/Untitled_design_e05e0a0035.png" alt="Untitled design.png"></figure>By her university years, the tennis-obsessed Jenny Wan had already torn her ACL and had rods pounded into her knee to treat the multiple fractures she’s endured. Under the doctor’s strict orders, she gave up the sport and turned to golf – which she still plays now at 48 years old – but missed the adrenaline and thrill of high-intensity games. So, every three years, she vowed to take on something new – table tennis, Muay Thai, squash and badminton: these were always taught by a coach for up to three times a week after her then daytime role as general manager of asset management at LINK Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT), which heads 130 properties in Hong Kong alone.“I’d go all out: I trained to compete, to win,” said Jenny.For decades, she kept to her rigorous routine.&nbsp;This was, until the summer of 2023 when she found a pickleball paddle tucked away in the storeroom of the Ladies Recreation Club, where she is a member. Since the sport was still at its nascency in Hong Kong at the time, online videos and forums became her coach. Soon, Jenny formed a group of women who’d play two nights a week: aside from the thrill of the sport, some joined for the post-game banter and others saw it as a chance to show off their mini dresses, pleated skirts and pastel-coloured polos from the likes of Norma Kamali, Tory Burch, J. Crew and more. &nbsp;<blockquote>"Sure, pickleball isn’t as high-octane as other racket sports or the sports I’d previously enjoy, but it’s truly a bridge that connects sports enthusiasts, weekend players and people who like to social or wear cute clothes."</blockquote>Pickle What? &nbsp; An amalgamation of tennis, ping pong and badminton, pickleball was born in 1965, when Washington state congressman Joel Prichard and his friends Bill Bell and Barney McCallum had wanted to play badminton on an old court but couldn’t find any racquets and shuttlecocks. What took their place were ping-pong paddles – which have grown in size today – and a perforated ball. The name “pickleball” is attributed to Joel’s wife, Joan Prichard, who allegedly named the sport after the “pickle boat” in crew races, where rowers who fell short of competitive teams would face each other. &nbsp;<figure class="image"><img src="https://prd-cdn.jessicahk.com/Bay_Pickle_Reveals_an_All_New_Indoor_Pickleball_Court_in_Tsuen_Wan_s_D_PARK_4_b0103a12a3.JPG" alt="Bay Pickle Reveals an All-New Indoor Pickleball Court in Tsuen Wan’s D‧PARK (4).JPG"><figcaption>Photo courtesy of Bay Pickle</figcaption></figure>Unlike most racket sports, aggressive smashes are replaced with close-up nudges over the net – also called “dinking” – making pickleball the perfect sport not only for the elderly looking for an adrenaline hit, but it also offers players of different statures a levelled playing field.“A lot of the action in pickleball is up close: it’s a game of patience and waiting for your opponent to make a mistake, it’s the only sport where I can win a 6ft-tall guy without the need to run twice as hard,” Jenny jokes.Though pickleball saw its first tournament in 1976 in Washington, it remained a seniors’ game. What sprung it into global stardom was the COVID-19 pandemic, when people – including A-listers like Taylor Swift, George Clooney, Leonardo DiCaprio and Serena Williams – sought safe outdoor activities with an easy learning curve. &nbsp;The Sports &amp; Fitness Industry Association’s 2024 participation report found pickleball to be the fastest-growing sport in the United States, with 13.6 million players. Such momentum has trickled to Southeast Asia, with clubs and competitions spanning from local to national levels. Hong Kong’s Leisure and Cultural Services Department, too, is playing catch up, having increased public facilities for pickleball from just one in 2022 to more than 15 as of last December. This exponential growth by the HKSAR was partly driven by the likes of Jenny, who with three other partners, founded the city’s first private, indoor pickleball court in Tin Hau – Bay Pickle – last summer. Since then, Bay Pickle has expanded to Tsuen Wan’s D‧PARK, a private member’s club in Central and Pok Oi Hospital 80th Anniversary Tang Ying Hei College in Tseung Kwan O. &nbsp;“I’ve been in countless business negotiations in my 22-year corporate life; but when I was offered the opportunity of investing in a pickleball court, I said yes in a heartbeat,” Jenny said. &nbsp;<figure class="image"><img src="https://prd-cdn.jessicahk.com/Bay_Pickle_Grand_Opening_Pickleballs_and_Paddles_2_55b29d137b.JPG" alt="Bay Pickle Grand Opening_Pickleballs and Paddles_2.JPG"><figcaption>Photo courtesy of Bay Pickle</figcaption></figure>Weaving Wellness into the Dink Bay Pickle was Jenny's first taste of entrepreneurship with a team of men, who all appreciate her eye for detail. &nbsp;“When we first opened the Tin Hau flagship, the boys were only obsessed with the technicalities of the flooring. Without me, they probably won’t even have towel racks in the bathroom,” Jenny quips. &nbsp;Aside from the love of the sport and its potential in the Greater Bay Area, her investment in Bay Pickle aligns with her wellness pursuit, one that was founded in wanting “to make better and more nutritious soups” for her long-term partner, Gigi Chao – daughter of billionaire Cecil Chao, vice-chairman of investment holdings company Cheuk Nang Holdings Limited and outspoken gay-rights advocate. &nbsp;<figure class="image"><img src="https://prd-cdn.jessicahk.com/Bay_Pickle_Grand_Opening_Group_Photo_2_03fdcc98cf.JPG" alt="Bay Pickle Grand Opening_Group Photo_2.JPG"><figcaption>Jenny Wan on the left with her partners Albert (second on the left) and Ken (first on the right) and Steve Kuhn, founder of Major League Pickleball in the United States. Photo courtesy of Bay Pickle</figcaption></figure>Like her dedication to sports, Jenny also poured her unabashed devotion to wellness by enrolling into The Chinese University of Hong Kong’s School of Chinese Medicine in 2021 and quitting her job at LINK REIT two years later to focus on her new pursuit. &nbsp;“I don’t want to become a Chinese medicine practitioner; instead, I want to instill small wellness habits in people before illnesses even arise. Brew yourself a cup of herbal tea here; add a few healthy ingredients to your lunch there; and play a bit of low-impact, highly social pickleball once or twice a week and voila, you’re on your way to a healthy life,” said Jenny. &nbsp;Though Hong Kong is quickly picking up the pickleball momentum, Jenny hopes to attract more female players, who she says are less likely to join drop-in sessions with “intense, sweaty men”. Solutions include Ladies Night – which will kick off on February 6 in Bay Pickle’s Tin Hau location – as well as wellness-helmed programs that will hopefully incorporate the fruits of her Chinese medicine studies in the future. &nbsp;“What we’ve seen is that most of ladies who come through our door want a fun, engaging sporting environment, and we want to be a place for all those things. 心靈療癒是一種尋找內心平靜和心靈安寧的過程，通過情感釋放、自我探索和心靈成長，幫助我們處理生活中的挑戰和創傷。香港註冊藝術治療師（表達藝術）沈劼楠（Kit Shum）深信藝術的力量，將其視為促進心靈療癒的重要工具，透過藝術的媒介引導人們進行情感釋放，啟動自我探索的旅程，並促進心靈的成長。<figure class="image"><img src="https://prd-cdn.jessicahk.com/DJI_20240306113750_0225_D_0d3324f2d5.JPG" alt="DJI_20240306113750_0225_D.JPG"><figcaption>香港註冊藝術治療師（表達藝術）沈劼楠（Kit Shum）</figcaption></figure>Kit 經常與客人建立深層的連結，細心傾聽他們的故事，並通過藝術創作幫助他們表達內在的情感和需求。她說：「表達藝術治療融合多媒體元素，包括視覺藝術、舞蹈、戲劇和音樂，透過非語言方式將潛意識的想法呈現出來。當情緒激動時，內心會產生生動的畫面，如火山爆發，具體且多感官的形象。透過視覺藝術和戲劇，可以生動展現火山爆發的情景，幫助情緒表達和覺知。同時，情緒也可以轉化，就像火山爆發後的雨水帶來平靜，改善心境。透過這些藝術過程，有助於情緒管理和心態調整，讓人更好地理解和處理情感。」當人面臨壓力時，經常進入戰鬥或逃跑模式，這時我們的腎上腺素會急速上升。Kit 指出有些人在這種情況下變得易怒，而逃跑則往往源於驚恐情緒。還有一種狀態就是完全凍結（Freeze mode），這三種狀態並非理想的生存狀態，僅適應短暫危機。雖然腎上腺素刺激時會令行動迅速、思維敏捷，長期保持此狀態會增加壓力荷爾蒙，降低免疫力。藝術能舒緩壓力，促使大腦釋放快樂荷爾蒙，提升免疫力。 而藝術治療有助活化前額葉，促進社交、增強解難能力，拓展聯想，幫助處理個人問題。<img src="https://prd-cdn.jessicahk.com/2024_10_03_3_57_44_3337e55e50.png" alt="螢幕截圖 2024-10-03 下午3.57.44.png"><h2>善用表達藝術治療</h2>在視覺藝術領域中，我們透過各種不同的媒介來表現他們的創造力和獨特風格。每一種藝術媒介都承載著獨特的特質和表達方式，能夠引發觀者各種感官和情感上的共鳴。這種多元性使得藝術作品變得更加豐富多彩。有些人喜歡使用具有強烈觸感的媒介，例如陶泥，這種材料讓他們能夠直接感受到形態的變化和材質的紋理。這種直接的觸感體驗能夠激發他們的創作靈感，使他們更加投入到創作過程中。另一方面，有些人則更傾向於使用乾燥的材料，如木顏料或粉彩，這些材料能夠呈現出獨特的質感和色彩效果，使作品更加生動和豐富。此外，還有一些人會選擇使用濕潤的彩料，例如廣告彩或水彩。這些彩料在畫布上流動的方式和色彩的混合效果能夠營造出柔和和流暢的視覺效果，帶給人一種溫暖和舒適的感受。這些不同的媒介選擇反映了個人的性格特質和藝術取向，展現了他們對藝術創作的熱情和創造力。藝術媒介的選擇不僅僅是在技術層面上的考量，更是一種表達個人性格和情感的方式。例如，一個喜歡秩序和細節的人可能會偏好使用濕潤的媒體，因為這種媒介讓他們能夠在作品中展現出細膩和精準的一面。相反，一個討厭混亂和不規則性的人可能更傾向於使用乾燥的媒體，這樣可以讓他們保持清晰和有序的思維方式。所以，透過不同的藝術媒介，有助於幫助人們從固定的性格和取向轉變為更加靈活和開放的狀態。藉由藝術創作過程，人們不僅可以表達內心的情感和想法，還能夠激發創造力和想像力，讓他們從不同的視角去看待世界和自己。對於那些性格活潑、喜歡活動且喜歡交流的人來說，諸如舞蹈或戲劇等藝術形式可能更為合適。<img src="https://prd-cdn.jessicahk.com/2024_10_03_3_59_55_3af4935938.png" alt="螢幕截圖 2024-10-03 下午3.59.55.png">舞蹈可以讓人們透過身體的動作和節奏表達情感和感受，而戲劇則讓人們能夠扮演不同的角色和情境，體驗不同的生活和情感。通過不斷地探索和交替使用不同的藝術媒介，有助於改變人們固有的性格觀念和執著。藉由藝術創作，人們可以挑戰自己的想法和信念，擴展自己的視野和思維方式，從而實現個人成長和進步。因此，藝術不僅僅是一種表達形式，更是一種能夠啟發和改變的力量，深刻地影響著人們的心理狀態和觀點。&nbsp;

and bracelets</figcaption></figure><h2 style="text-align:justify;">STRAWBERRY LOVE</h2>MIRROR 打從《全民造星》選秀節目開始便以跳唱掛帥， 每次 12 子推出團歌都會令一眾鏡粉為之瘋狂。2024 年頭炮的這一首小組「團」歌、首度由姜濤、Anson Lo 、Jeremy 和 Edan 4 人小組形式合唱，並鮮有撇低男團勁歌熱舞的既定形象，以甜蜜初戀作新歌主題大玩小清新。《Strawberry Love 》 歌詞甜蜜，直接的告白、示愛字句，原來是出自 Serrini 的手 筆，輕快旋律讓人感受到 4 位大男孩可愛、陽光的一面。「新 歌想唱出如 strawberry 一般的甜蜜感覺，是一首關於追女仔的 sweet song。」<figure class="image"><img 作很滿意，不論是前期製作、後期剪接、調色都極富心思， 大家也會看到我們少有穿上夏季裝束，自己也首次在 MV 內 『駕車』，加上泰國陽光與海灘的美景，整個氛圍都非常青春 活潑。」MV 更請來了泰國女演員擔任女主角，「MV內的故事情節，是講述我們 4 個同一時間追求這位女生，不過重點 卻落於我們大細路的玩樂情節。」姜濤更笑說可能是因為女主角在內大派好人卡，所以他們4個最後都成功。他還強調 bracelet</figcaption></figure>&nbsp;<h2 style="text-align:justify;">MY FIRST LOVE</h2>新歌《Strawberry Love》甜蜜滿瀉， 4 位大男孩對於戀愛這課題卻有着不一樣的見解。 4 位正值事業搏殺黃金時期， 當然認為愛情不是眼下最重要的，但對愛情也總有憧憬，一 切關乎是否適合的時間遇上適合的對象。「對我來說，愛情現階段未是 priority，可能是自己在拍拖上未有太多經驗。每 當唱有關愛情主題的歌曲，都是靠想像而來。」Jeremy 對泰 國電影《初戀這件小事》印象難忘，初中時看過後見識到戀愛 的威力，原來就在於可以徹底改變一個人。<figure class="image"><img 簡單單在一起已經足夠。」姜濤則打趣說如果愛情是人生必需品，他過去二十幾年的人生豈非是白過？「我覺得暗戀一點也不甜蜜，因為以前暗戀的對象都不會跟我在一起，大家都說不需要表白這個過程，而是兩個人對大家有意思，就會很自然走在一起。」<figure class="image"><img MIRROR</h2>絕對是本地娛圈最熱最紅的單位，12 子的個 人發展也相當不俗，出道以來歌影視都不乏他們的身影。 Jeremy 坦言自己最享受舞台，在舞台上可完全投入自己的表演、也可盡情感受觀眾的歡呼聲，整件事很有力量，那種 抗奮感覺絕非筆墨可形容。而提到即將跟 COLLAR 合作開騷，他表示，「非常期待，因為大家都是《造星》出身，以前 比賽時就很習慣不停換組表演，今次跟 Jer 、Stanley 、Marf 、 Sumling 和 Winka 合作，就可以變化出很多不同的組合，而 且又是勁歌熱舞，很有火花。」Jeremy 說時喜上眉梢，完全 讓人感受到他對舞台的熱愛。<figure class="image"><img src="https://prd-cdn.jessicahk.com/jes285_coverstory09_61cee9470a.jpg" 一直以來的鼓勵，自己亦十分欣賞這位大前輩，「第一次正式跟 Kelly 合作 是馬場的表演，當時已覺得她很懂得享受工作，認真之餘也 能放鬆心情，也多謝她一直以來都有留意自己，錄音期間給予我很多寶貴意見，新歌的合作相當順利和愉快！」他自言最近開始明白如何享受工作，也會堅持每天的 me time 來維持 work-life balance。Edan 算是團內百足最多爪的成員，他 最近參與拍攝由「紙盒藏屍案」改篇而成的電影，在內長髮的造型早前亦已曝光，「這已是第 5 度參演電影，但這一次的 拍攝過程讓我體驗很深，除了有很多動作、打鬥場面，戲內情節橫跨幾個年代，自己要由 20 歲演到 40 歲，當中的內心戲都是一大挑戰！」<figure class="image"><img rings</figcaption></figure>Edan緊接其後便會加入劇組，新劇將會與劇帝謝君豪合作，且看又會擦出甚麼新火花。提到剛與馮 德倫合作新歌《Every Single Time 》MV 拍攝的姜濤，他表示， 「是一次很偶然的機會遇到 Stephen，就促成了這次的合作， 發覺我們喜歡的東西都很符合這首歌的風格。」<figure class="image"><img
